NHS organisations publish a directory, invoices, accounts and board papers. Those records sit on different portals. Institrace holds them on the same graph as councils, officers and companies.
We only index public bodies. A supplier, developer, or care-home Ltd appears when a public file or a published identifier attaches it. We do not run a private-company directory.

How it works
The NHS Organisation Data Service is a national list: a code, a name, a status, a kind. Institrace loads that list. It is currently 53,441 organisations, including 228 active trusts and 36 integrated care boards. A row in that list is not a papers collection. Most codes are directory-only until a public papers page is confirmed and the body is a tracked source. 256 ODS rows are already joined to a body we index. 153 NHS sources are active in the document index.
Spend over £25k is a published invoice file, not a contract register. The first load is NHS Business Services Authority monthly CSVs: 1,009,992 payments after payroll and named-person lines are dropped. Trust-level catalogues are a separate feed. They are not claimed as complete. Trust Accounts Consolidation is the published annual picture: 1,284 provider-years. The NHSBSA Open Data Portal contract register is another grain again: 601 contract rows, invoices not mixed in. Board minutes and agendas, once a trust site is tracked, sit in the same document corpus as councils. The join key is the ODS code, then a Companies House number where the file actually contains one. A supplier name is not turned into a company number by search.
This layer is not patient data, not a clinical record, and not a DSPT dump. The Organisation Data Service pack used here is England. Scotland is a second pass. The national PFI / PF2 file is held locally and is not in the product yet.
What it does
It lets a researcher put an NHS body next to a council, a supplier and an officer without building the join by hand. Official portals will not do that. The Open Data Portal will not do it against committee minutes. Companies House will not do it against TAC. Institrace does, because the NHS records sit on the same graph as the rest of the index.
Use it to see what is published. Then open the original file. A spend line is an invoice. A TAC year is an accounts figure. A contract row is a contract. A board paper is a board paper. The layer does not treat those as one thing, and it does not write a finding from the join.

Why are most ODS rows not sources?
A directory row is not a website.
How do you join a supplier to a board member?
Only when a company number is present in the file, or when another published identifier already links the rows.
What do you skip in spend files?
Payroll lines and rows that name a person.
Do you hold Scottish, Welsh or Northern Ireland health bodies?
Not as an ODS-equivalent directory.
