Regulators

Some regulators publish decisions as files, the same way a council publishes minutes. When there is a public list of those files, we can hold them in the same index.

Papers from a public decisions list. Not every regulator homepage.

A holdings table of regulator papers: National Audit Office, CMA cases and Housing Ombudsman marked as held, with other regulators not yet listed.

How it works

National Audit Office reports, Competition and Markets Authority case papers, and Housing Ombudsman decisions sit in the same document index as committee packs. Each file keeps the copyright of the body that published it, and each entry links back.

GOV.UK case files are often released under the Open Government Licence. Other PDFs stay with their publisher.

How to read the count

The homepage row is papers we hold from that regulator in this snapshot. It is not every decision that body has ever issued.

What this is not

An organisation homepage is not a papers list. A respondent name on a disciplinary notice is not turned into a person record. Some regulators publish only through search forms we cannot yet index honestly. Those bodies are not claimed as held.
