Coverage
The homepage Coverage table is a map of places where we already track public bodies. It is not a claim that we hold every paper from every body in that place. We only index public bodies. A supplier, developer, or care-home Ltd appears when a public file or a published identifier attaches it. We do not run a private-company directory.

What the number means
Each figure is how many public bodies we currently track in that area. A body is tracked when it has a confirmed papers page and we hold files from it. A council with thousands of papers and a trust with a dozen both count as one.
England is larger than Wales because more of those pages are live here, not because Wales publishes less. The Sources catalogue is the list of bodies, including those that are still planned.
Places on the homepage
Four nations, London as a place inside England, and one group for the islands we already hold.
| Place | What it includes | Live sources |
|---|---|---|
| England | Councils and other public bodies whose home nation is England. | 327 |
| Wales | Welsh public bodies with a papers page we already hold. | 21 |
| Scotland | Scottish public bodies with a papers page we already hold. | 32 |
| Northern Ireland | Northern Ireland public bodies with a papers page we already hold. | 11 |
| London | A named place inside England, so London can be opened on its own. | 179 |
| Crown Dependencies and British Overseas Territories | Jersey, Guernsey, the Isle of Man, and the British Virgin Islands. | 23 |
What this is not
It is not a complete map of British public life. Land titles in the product are the England and Wales corporate and overseas registers. The NHS organisation list used here is England. Health bodies in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland come later.
Gibraltar and the Cayman Islands are not in this group yet. A place that is missing is missing. We add a body when there is a real papers page to attach it to.
