To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, what guidance is issued to police forces on the priority given to reports of violence and aggression against NHS staff, including in emergency departments.

Police forces are operationally independent from Government and are responsible for decisions relating to their resourcing to respond to and investigate crime.
