To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office, with reference to the Cabinet Office, Special adviser data releases: numbers and costs, July 2026, footnote 4, for what reason each of the salaries was temporarily uplifted.

Salaries may be uplifted to reflect a temporary increase in responsibilities, such as covering a higher grade. It would not be appropriate to comment on responsibilities of individual special advisers.
