To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, whether her Department has made an assessment of the potential merits of using any of the savings from abolishing Police and Crime Commissioners to help fund Community Safety Partnerships.

Abolishing Police and Crime Commissioners (PCCs) is expected to save the taxpayer around £100m in this Parliament. Savings from cancelling future PCC elections will be retained by the Exchequer with the remainder reinvested back into policing.Funding for ...
