To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what is her assessment of the percentage of e-bikes on British roads which are not compliant with the EAPC regulations concerning a) electric motors exceeding 250 watts and b) possessing electrical assistance w
Answer
No such assessment has been made. The Department has published advice to the public on the EAPC Regulations and the police have the powers to seize such vehicles where they are used on the roads without properly being registered as road vehicles.
