To ask the Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero, what assessment he has made of the industries which can only be decarbonised by switching to hydrogen energy.

We recognise that some industrial sectors are particularly hard to electrify and are therefore expected to require hydrogen to decarbonise, including processes such as chemical production and refining. Electrification is expected to play the primary role ...
