To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, whether he plans to require NHS trusts to inform brain tumour patients of options relating to tissue preservation and freezing prior to surgery, where clinically appropriate.

The Department has not undertaken separate, specific assessments on access, regional variation, capacity, funding of freezer capacity, and consent to brain cancer tissue freezing. However, NHS England has recently completed a gap analysis of the need for ...
