To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what assessment he has made of the potential merits of making the freezing of suitable brain tumour tissue samples a standard part of NHS care following neurosurgical procedures.

The Department has not undertaken separate, specific assessments on access, regional variation, capacity, funding of freezer capacity, and consent to brain cancer tissue freezing. However, NHS England has recently completed a gap analysis of the need for ...
