To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, what recent assessment she has made of trends in levels of fraud.

Fraud accounts for 46% of reported crime in England and Wales in 2025. Around 1 in 13 adults (3.8 million people) were victims of fraud in 2025. Fraud cost the UK economy at least £14.4 billion for both businesses and individuals in 2023-2024. In March 20...
