To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, what the current estimated cost of the maintenance backlog is for each prison in England and Wales.

We intend to publish an update to the data published in December 2024 on the condition of the prison estate in England and Wales: Prison Estate Conditions Survey Programme Summary Information - GOV.UK. We plan to do this before the end of the year.
