To ask the hon. Member for Blaenau Gwent and Rhymney, representing the House of Commons Commission, if the Commission will make it its policy to ban meat products from House of Commons catering which have been produced using non-stunned slaughter.

The House of Commons Catering Service does not accept halal slaughtered meat unless it is specifically requested and only then from animals that have been pre-stunned prior to slaughter. Such requests for halal slaughtered meats are rare. The Commission h...
