To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, how many a) nursing and b) residential care home beds have been lost in England due to provider closures in the past five years.

Over the past five years, 399 nursing homes registered with the Care Quality Commission have deactivated their locations in England. The following table shows the number of beds impacted (please note, this data does not include any data for new beds): Yea...
