To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, what information his Department holds on the (a) number and (b) proportion of people who have tried and failed to register to vote in each of the last ten years.

The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government does not collect nor hold data on the outcomes of electoral registration applications. Electoral registration is administered locally by Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) who are statutorily r...
