To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, what progress has she made in procuring a new firearm to replace the Heckler and Koch G36 for Cambridgeshire Constabulary.

The Home Office does not procure or proscribe services to Police forces. It is a matter for each Force to assess and procure services proportionate to its needs to provide effective policing for their area as they are best placed to understand local needs...
