To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, if he will make it his policy to recognise obesity as a disease.

The Department does not recognise obesity as a disease.Guidelines from the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE), which the Government accepts and works to, focus on obesity as a complex but preventable public health issue. NICE does no...
