To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, if he will make an assessment of the effectiveness of the Trees for Climate project.

The Trees for Climate Programme is delivered by England’s Community Forests and is funded by the Defra Nature for Climate Fund Programme (NCF). Between 2020-2025 the Trees for Climate Programme has planted trees totalling 6,551ha. Defra is currently evalu...
