To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, what estimate he has made of the population of wild peacocks.

The Government does not hold data on the population of Indian peafowl (peacock) but is aware of recent data recorded by the British Trust for Ornithology that shows there were at least 9 confirmed breeding pairs in the UK in 2020, spread widely in Dorset,...
