To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, what steps she is taking to improve the retention of coroners.

Whilst the Ministry of Justice has responsibility for coroner and inquest law and policy, coroner services are locally funded and administered by individual local authorities. In line with this framework, coroners are appointed by the lead local authority...
