To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, what estimate he has made of the average return on capital employed of family-owned farms in (a) England and (b) the UK.

Return on Capital Employed (ROCE) for family-owned farms is not available. Data are collected at the commercial farm business level by the Farm Business Survey. The survey does not collect information on whether farms are family-owned so it is not possibl...
