To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what assessment she has made of the potential impact of the transition from private to public ownership on train operating company investment programmes.

The process of transitioning railway passenger services into public ownership should not impact investment programmes. The vast majority of investment is already funded from public sources under current arrangements. Existing projects will be able to cont...
