To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer, whether she has made an estimate of the number of bank branches that have closed in England in the last 10 years.

According to consumer website Which?, UK banks and building societies closed over 6000 branches across the UK from January 2015 to May 2024. The Government recognises the importance of banking to communities and high streets. The Government has therefore ...
